About Dental, Vision & Hearing Coverage

Original Medicare does not provide routine dental, vision, or hearing coverage. Medicare Part B DOES cover medically necessary procedures for conditions such as Glaucoma, Wet Macular Degeneration, Cataracts, and Diabetes-related vision issues. However, basic dental, vision, and hearing services are NOT covered by Medicare. Some individuals choose to self-pay for this coverage, while others prefer to have Dental Insurance (or Vision & Hearing). After vetting out the options, we offer a few different plans for Individual Dental (Vision & Hearing) Coverage.

New plan available from Physician’s Mutual (A+ rated company) with no maximum annual benefit (for $56/mo. in premium). Most other dental plans have a maximum benefit of $1,500-$2,500 / year. This plan has unlimited benefits which is amazing.

• Preventative (100% covered) and Basic (70% covered) covered Day 1
• Major work covered at 70% (after 12-month waiting period)

• Affordable premiums, as low as $37.58 a month (for ages 65-74)
• Use your own provider, or choose one from the optional PPO Network
• Guaranteed issue, there is no underwriting or stress about being approved
• Covers two dental cleanings per year, plus glasses, contacts, hearing aids, and exams
• Also covers endodontics, root canals, periodontal surgery, bridges, crowns, and dentures*

* Coverage for MAJOR services begins after year 1, 70% paid policy during year 2, and 80% policy paid year 3 and after.

Delta Dental in NJ offers a variety of dental options for individuals with ranges from $1,000 to $2,000 maximum annual benefit. The “Clear Plan” has no cap on the annual benefit amount.

• Utilizes Delta’s strong network of dentists in NJ (PPO ~50% of NJ dentists or Premier ~90% of NJ dentists).
• All plans includes Delta’s negotiated rates with the dentists
• No waiting periods for any of the plan options if you have continuous dental coverage
• The “Clear Plan” has no waiting periods (even if you do not have continuous coverage)
